Robin-Banks Entertainment was founded in 2016 by Katie Robinette and Amy Banks with a shared mission: to elevate the standard of live wedding and event entertainment across Central Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region. With more than two decades of combined experience in major event markets such as Philadelphia, Chicago, and Dallas, they recognized a growing demand for entertainment companies that delivered both exceptional musicianship and unmatched professionalism—a need frequently cited by planners in national industry surveys.

Central City Orchestra quickly became the company’s first breakthrough success, rising to prominence as one of the region’s most in-demand wedding bands. Known for its high-energy performances, world-class vocalists and musicians, and consistent 5-star client reviews, the band reflects a broader trend reported by Wedding Wire and The Knot: couples are increasingly prioritizing high-impact, interactive entertainment to create memorable guest experiences.

As demand grew, Robin-Banks Entertainment expanded its offerings with Downtown Sound, an edgier, more alternative sister group designed for clients seeking a fresh, modern twist on traditional wedding entertainment. In 2020, the company continued to innovate by launching DJ hybrid entertainment packages, which combine the flexibility of a professional DJ with the dynamic presence of live musicians—an approach now widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing entertainment formats for weddings and corporate events nationwide.
